Program to develop, test and disseminate a series of tools on EMR adoption and use

The project is based on a recent survey of rural physicians conducted by the Kentucky Medical Association (KMA), which revealed that the primary concerns around electronic medical record (EMR) adoption are related to the lack of interoperability between rural practices and hospitals and the inability to report quality of care data. Through this project, Kentucky Foundation for Medical Care will develop a toolkit that contains products designed to address the specific issues for rural practices around the adoption of EMRs and compliance with meaningful use guidelines.
