I Witnessed Pain, Suffering, Grief and Death

Working during COVID-19 was one of the most challenging times of my life. I witnessed pain, suffering, grief, death and sense of helplessness all around.

Heartbreaking news of the deaths made me angry, upset and resentful. I was angry at the failure of the system, lack of timely interventions, scarcity of resources and play of politics.

When I got sick, friends and family showed kindness and compassion beyond my imagination. And I saw health care heroes showing courage, kindness and compassion.

Things are better. But the reality is the people who left us will stay in our memory forever reminding us of the fragility of the life and also reminding us to love what we have and when we have it.
