Expanding a Successful Physician Leadership Model to State Societies Across the US

The Hanley Center will build upon its past success to expand physician leadership capacity in other states. More than 150 physicians have enrolled in the one-year Physician Executive Leadership Initiative since it launched in 2011. The first component of the project is to develop a comprehensive plan to support three state medical societies in establishing a similar program.  The Hanley Center will develop five physician leadership case studies that can be used by the Physicians Foundation and other societies.  The third component of the project is to build the capacity of the Hanley Center by hiring a Training and Development Director to provide program management and technical assistance to other states.
