Wyoming Leaders in Medicine – Physician Leadership Academy (WLM)

“Wyoming Leaders in Medicine – Physician Leadership Academy maintains quality curriculum and unparalleled wellness benefits for their members while using each weekend session to introduce potential future partners, like members of the Wyoming Hospital Association leadership team and board, to the offerings of their program in hopes of identifying ways the current program can pivot and expand to include a wider audience.

WLM was established in 2017. It was modeled after the Montana Medical Association physician leadership with a few intentional differences to meet the unique needs of Wyoming physicians. WMS strives to continue enhancing the caliber of Wyoming physician leaders by providing a quality leadership curriculum, while strategically weaving in community engagement, hands-on group learning, and professional bonding opportunities. This careful balance works to create safe spaces in which participants can expose vulnerability, identify personal strengths and weaknesses, and grow in self-awareness. These components work in concert throughout seven-weekend intensives to ultimately graduate confident, empowered, and happier physicians whom colleagues and medical community peers will follow into the difficult.”
