Initiative to improve quality of patient care
Executive Summary: The Foundation of the American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE) carried out an initiative to support medical society executives’ efforts to raise awareness and increase physician adoption of quality improvement measures. Funding from The Physicians Foundation enabled the AAMSE Foundation to organize the ‘Expert Summit on Quality of Patient Care’ for medical society executives and their physician leaders. The summit was offered for two years. After completion of the grant, AAMSE Foundation hosted resources online on quality care standards and initiatives.
