HMA Physician Leadership and Management Academy

The Hawaii Medical Foundation will launch the statewide HMA Physician Leadership and Management Academy (PLMA). It proposes a focused and collaborative curricula design process for two courses: (1) the 1.5-day Shidler course, and (2) a series of live and pre-produced webinars produced locally and by other state medical association affiliated programs. The PLMA will build and implement leadership skills to increase physician leadership capacity and influence across the entire state.

The PLMA will enroll 40 physicians in intensive year-long leadership and management courses. These  courses will be delivered in cooperation with the University of Hawaii Shidler School of Business and with guidance and collaboration with already initiated state medical association leadership programs including Washington, Montana, and the Hanley Institute.
