Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy
The purpose of the grant is to support the next two classes of the Georgia Physicians Leadership Academy and enhance the curriculum. The curriculum includes leadership strategies, media and communication, decision making, conflict resolution, and government relations. Upon graduation, each participant must implement a personal leadership project in their community. Examples include patient education programs for the community, planning a membership drive, and formalizing leadership transitions in their medical society. The program offers six sessions over the year and offers Continuing Medical Education credits to participants.
