Initiative to develop a series of supports and resources for implementation of EHRs in small practices

Executive Summary: The goal of the project is to address the early needs and challenges of preparing for health information technology adoption. CAFPF designed a project to support physicians’ readiness planning and implementation of EHRs, specifically for small (10 physicians or fewer) practices. This project has a multi-part approach which includes a self-assessment tool to evaluate readiness for EHR implementation, a curriculum to prepare practices for EHR implementation, an online HIT Resource Center and a post-implementation practice assessment tool.
