South Florida Excellence in Physician Leadership Institute

PBCMSS proposes to recruit physicians representative of South Florida, with a special emphasis on women and minorities to participate in a leadership program designed to think collaboratively to address challenges faced by a diverse community. The program would be offered through 6 sessions which would integrate cultural competency. The 6 planned session topics are:

• Institute Orientation and discussion about leadership rolls
• Becoming a Transformational Leader
• The Future of Medicine and Health Care in South Florida
• Advocacy
• The Dynamics of Communication Skill and the Media
• Retreat, Leadership Project Presentations, and Graduation
