Jerry Wang Van Meter, MD, FAAOS, FAANA, is a Board Member of The Physicians Foundation and has practiced as an orthopaedic surgeon with the Honolulu Permanente Medical Group in Honolulu, Hawaii, for more than 20 years. He has served in various leadership positions including most recently as the Chief of the Occupational Health Department. He is a member of numerous medical organizations and has served as a president of the state Hawaii Medical Association.

Dr. Van Meter received his medical degree from University of California, Davis, School of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in arthroscopic surgery. Currently, he serves as the President of the Hawaii Medical Foundation, a 501(c)3, is an AMA representative for the state of Hawaii and continues to be grateful for the opportunity to do volunteer work in Southeast Asia.
