ACCMA Physician Leadership Program
ACCMA’s Physician Leadership Program helps accelerate their focus on three key, interrelated strategic priorities and areas of focus – leadership, health equity, and physician wellness. They are developing several new topical mini-courses on practical and actionable operations and management skills in service of physician wellness. ACCMA is also hiring and transitioning the Physician Leadership Program to a new Program Director beginning in 2025, with overlapping course directors in 2024. They are working on launching a new health equity-focused leadership program. The goal of the Health Equity Leadership Program is to equip physicians with the knowledge and skills to become more effective advocates for advancing health equity and reducing healthcare disparities, specifically within medical groups, hospitals, healthcare systems, private practice, and the broader community. Completion of the course will result in the co-creation of an evidence-based action plan intended to facilitate system changes. The intended audience for this course is physicians who are passionate about and motivated to improve health equity, but who may lack formal training in how to be effective advocates to advance health equity initiatives.
