The Physicians Management Library
The focus of the project is to develop a video library of authoritative, practical information to assist the practicing physician in making decisions regarding the business aspects of medical practice at a time when they are being challenged with rising costs and decreasing reimbursement. A key aspect is recognition that many small and solo practices are being sold to hospitals and large groups.The goal is to assist the practicing physician in analyzing and dealing with the economic challenge of operating in a solo or small practice environment. MESF goals for this project are to develop and disseminate a series of basic tutorials focused on practice management issues of importance to physicians contemplating changes in their practice environment. MESF objectives are to provide physicians with background information that will help them examine practice environments and assess how they can best position themselves in the rapidly changing world of health care delivery.
