Developing a Blueprint for Expanded Leadership Development in North Carolina
The purpose of the grant is to develop the Kanof Institute for Physician Leadership as the umbrella organization for all leadership activities and to offer two new educational tracks. North Carolina Medical Society Foundation (NCMSF) will convene an advisory board consisting of board members and former participants in the Leadership College to develop a strategic plan for the Institute. The Institute would offer three tracks for physician leadership: Leadership Fundamentals, which will closely resemble the existing Leadership College; Clinical Quality, which will focus on performance improvement and team-based care; and Healthcare Management, which will offer training to develop management and business skills.
