Physician Leadership Academy of South Florida

Building on the seven successful years from 2016 to 2022, the Physician Leadership Academy of South Florida (PLA) held under the auspices of the Palm Beach County Medical Society, in collaboration with the Broward County Medical Association and Dade County Medical Association; and with the support of The Physicians Foundation, offers an enhanced physician leadership program. The program is offered to physicians who are members of the three medical associations/societies. PBCMSS engages the advisory board comprised of 2 representatives of each County to finalize the topics covered. Feedback received from past sessions is reviewed, to determine strengths and weaknesses of speakers and topics covered in the past. PBCMSS incorporates trainings which provide leadership skills to address financial and organizational challenges faced in turbulent times, cultural agility, advocacy, communcation, physician burn out, and strategies to address patient challenges related to social drivers of health.
